Company facilitates the creation of Vegas jobs for veterans

One company is making a big difference in the lives of servicemen and women by helping them get Vegas jobs.

Bradley-Morris, Inc., a military-focused recruiting firm, is creating hiring fairs to connect veterans with jobs. The fairs will take place in various cities across the country.

These fairs are a way for employers to recruit military to fill key positions, add bench strength and address diversity goals. On each of these dates, Fortune 1000 companies will interview JMOs (Junior Military Officers), technicians and diversity candidates with military backgrounds for positions in Management / Engineering, Technician / Supervision / Field Service and Consulting / Sales / Business Development.

NetCom is expanding operations into the West Coast and possibly hiring for its other locations, including for sales jobs in Vegas.

Walmart hires for seasonal jobs in Vegas

Walmart said this week it will hiring thousands for the holiday season, including many for seasonal jobs in Vegas.

Walmart plans on hiring 50,000 people to ramp up for the seasonal rush.

Gisel Ruiz, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Walmart U.S. said in an article:

“This is our busiest time of the year and we are focused even more on providing excellent service to our shoppers throughout the holiday season. One way we do that is by ensuring our stores are adequately staffed by our associates.

“This year, we will be offering more hours to our existing associates and hiring more than 50,000 seasonal associates to staff our stores. That means when a customer needs help, a Walmart associate will be there to serve them.

“We know many customers are continuing to struggle as a result of the economy and high unemployment levels, but they have shown us that they’re resilient. They’re committed to giving their families a memorable Christmas. And, we hope that every customer who shops at Walmart this Christmas will be able to add a few more gifts under the tree. By offering more hours and more jobs, we hope our associates can do the same.

“Throughout the holiday season, Walmart will be focused on helping more Americans have the Christmas they want and the Christmas they can afford.”

The announcement means many people who are unemployed will be able to create some income with a job through Walmart or one of the numerous other retailers who are hiring right now.
