Dolce Possibly Hiring for Hospitality Jobs in Vegas

The Ritz-Carlton on Lake Las Vegas, which has since closed, will be reopened and rebranded as Dolce Hotels and Resorts, a move that will possibly result in the creation of hospitality jobs in Vegas.

This will be the first Vegas hotel for Dolce. The company owns and operates 27 properties globally, including in the U.S., Canada, and Europe.

The property is expected to open in 2011. Village Hospitality purchased the resort in 2009. After the Ritz Carlton closed, Lake Las Vegas struggled to retain customers and residents. The once-vibrant community has sagged under the weight of the recession.

When the place closed originally, almost 400 workers lost their jobs. Dolce did not say how many people they would be hiring for the renovation or for regular employment.
